MESSY PASTOR BOOT CAMP
A 6 Week Online Workshop for Pastors Navigating the Chaos of Ministry
Ministry is messy.
Admin does not have to be.
The Messy Pastor Boot Camp is a practical, guided 6-week online workshop for pastors who are trying to hold together leadership, pastoral care, administration, and their own spiritual life, often with very little support.
Running a church should not feel like running a crisis management company!
This Boot Camp is designed to help you step out of reactive mode and build sustainable systems, and free you up to minister the gospel of life. (That’s the job!)
Does this
feel familiar?
You are called to ministry, but so much of your week is taken up by logistics, emails, meetings, and a never-ending to-do list.
Most days it feels like playing Whac-A-Mole at Timezone with no pause button, just sensory overload from all the incoming dings.
You are carrying more responsibility than ever, with less margin than before. Technology was meant to make things easier, but instead, it often just multiplies the work with more communication channels and subscriptions to manage.
Your days feel fragmented. Important work keeps getting pushed aside as everything competes for your attention.
You know you are called to this work.
You just want it to feel less chaotic.
You are not failing. You are just navigating the reality of ministry in a not-so-great system.
Imagine
this instead
You start each week knowing what truly matters. You have clearly defined areas of responsibility, realistic expectations, and a clear sense of which projects are the priority right now.
You have simple systems and processes in place for recurring work. Information lives where it can be found. And, not just by you! Tasks are not just floating around in your head or on various apps and scraps of paper.
You have been introduced to the wonderful world of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and you are able to delegate with confidence. Staff and volunteers know what is expected of them and how things are done, without everything needing to come back to you. (Yay, holidays!)
You still deal with mess, because ministry is messy, but you are no longer drowning in it.

What is the Messy Pastor Boot Camp?
Messy Pastor Boot Camp is a guided 6-week online workshop for pastors who need to grow in having practical structures for their work.
It is for real pastors in real churches who do not need more theory or inspiration, but do need better systems, and support to get there. This is guided rather than self-paced. You will be working on your actual ministry as you go. There will be homework!
This is not about productivity and optimisation for its own sake. It is about stewarding your time, energy, and attention so you can do the work that matters and still have space for rest and relationships. And hobbies, remember those? Ah, those were the days.
Who this Boot Camp is for?
This Boot Camp is for pastors and ministry leaders who are navigating the complexity of ministry.
It is for those who carry leadership responsibility alongside operational decision making, whether you do most of the admin yourself or work with staff, volunteers, an EA, or a PA.
Even with a strong support team, pastors still need to be good at admin. (This was not covered in theological college!) Delegation and leadership both depend on having a clear, shared view of systems, priorities, and decisions. And with the democratisation of so many digital tools, pastors are now expected to do a significant amount of their own admin.
This Boot Camp is for you if you:
Are navigating the chaos of ministry life
Tired of feeling reactive instead of intentional
Want practical systems that actually work in ministry contexts
Need clearer structure so you can lead and delegate with confidence
This Boot Camp is not for you if you are looking for a quick fix or someone else to do the work for you.
The Administry approach
Administry is not about working harder or finding new and clever ways to work smarter. It is about discovering a methodology of simplicity that leads to availability.
The approach is shaped by confronting the reality of the work as it really is now (facing the dragon), restructuring to reduce complexity, and putting simple systems around what remains.
As Edward de Bono says: “Simplicity has to be designed. It has to be intentional. It does not happen naturally. Things get more complex naturally.” Complexity is the default. If we do nothing, our spaces, systems, and workflows will drift toward chaos. Simplicity is not passive. It is a discipline. It takes effort to create environments that support peace and clarity.
This Boot Camp is facilitated by Rachael Lopez, who has spent her career working in church admin, operations, and ministry roles. Administry Training is shaped by her love of connecting ideas across simple living, minimalism, monastic spirituality, theology of work, productivity, and system design.
